Heaton

Stone houses, cobbled streets and ancient woodland. Discover the warm, welcoming charm of Heaton.

There’s a real community feel about this part of Bradford. Perhaps that’s because, sandwiched between allotments, golf courses and the ancient Heaton Woods that separate the area from nearby Shipley, Heaton has retained its distinctiveness.

Or perhaps it’s the thriving shops, cafes, pub (the Kings Arms is real ale heaven) and the beautiful stone-built Victorian and Edwardian houses that make this feel like a piece of Yorkshire you really want to be a part of. Either way, Heaton is a sought after area of the city – and one that’s definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a great family home in a vibrant, welcoming location.

You can drive to central Bradford in under 10 minutes from Heaton. Commutes by car to Leeds take around 40 minutes. The nearest train station is on the edge of the area, in Frizinghall. Rail journey times to Bradford are around 11 minutes and around half an hour to Leeds.
